Comparing the values in between steps : Automation Tools

Hello,

I am new to Ranorex Tool, wanted to know about comparing the value/s in between the steps.

The scenario is as seen below.

1. Connect to a remote server which gives some numerical output
2. Compare these values with respect to the recorded step which captured the data.

How can you get the numerical output or rather how can you access this output?
How do you want to compare them?
You can use a Validation action or just a UserCode method to compare two numbers, but maybe you can describe it more detailed?
