Copy test case items

Postby marcel.keller » Tue Oct 11, 2011 4:45 pm

Hey there,

I'm using Ranorex Studio 3.1 and created a test solution with some test cases in it. There's the option to copy an item (Code or Recording Module) from one test case to another (in the test suite view).
But if I copy and paste an item and run the destination test, it will fail with the error message:

2011/10/11 16:45:13.629 FAILURE TestSuite TestSuite XML format is invalid. TestSuiteEntry id: e8ec49eb-d473-40ec-ac97-1338b2bc72a1 already exists

Hi,

Would it be possible to post us a how to reproduce description. To narrow down the issue. I tried to reproduce it, but with a simple copy paste am not able to reproduce it. Maybe you do something special to cause this issue. Would it be also possible to post us your rxtst file to check the file?

Thanks in advance.

Peter

Hello,

Well, i have 4 Testcases, every one with a different data source and some data binding.
Ina testcase I have a teardown element, which is a code module. As I copy this element to another testcase and run this testcase it will fail with the error code I have posted.

But now, even i cannot reproduce the error, it looks like i did something totally wierd.
I´m sorry!

Regards,
Marcel

So the issue is gone and you can work with Ranorex?
