Download of Flash Debug Player and Ranorex Preloader : Automation Tools

Hello,

I shortly installed the new version 3.2 of Ranorex. When I'm trying to use the Spy I'll get the "Ranorex Instrumentation Wizard" opend for the download of the tools I need. The problem is that I always get an error telling that the server's unreachable. We're using a proxyserver and I guess Ranorex doesn't take a look at the general proxyserver configuration. Is there any possibility to configure a proxyserver in the ranorex settings?

Hello,

The feature to do the instrumentation wizard via a proxy is not implemented yet, it is planned for 3.2.1 which will be available in January/February.

Meanwhile, please configure the Ranorex Preloader on your own. Normally it should work by doing the first step and running the wizard once again.
If not, continue with doing the other 3 steps too.

If you want to use the Preloader with Google Chrome, disable the internal flash player as described in the link.

Sorry for that - we are looking forward to implement the instrumentation wizard via proxy asap.
