Error message prompts out when try to open recording file : General Questions

Hi,

I encountered below messages when try to open test cases done by my colleagues:-

"An error occurred while trying to load TestSuite file (C:\A.rxtst):
TestSuiite XML format is invalid. Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection. Parameter name:index"

Not sure is it related to different version we are using:
1) my pc - 3.0.0.11639
2) col pc - 3.1.3.15228

But my col try to run his test cases in another pc (same version as me), the test cases can be run successfully without prompting above error message.

Please advice. Thanks.

Hi,

I think that the rxtst file was saved with the version 3.1.x - you can't open this with a version 3.0.x - Ranorex is not forward compatible.

Update to the same version of Ranorex as your colleague - but for both of you I would recommend to update to Ranorex 3.2.
