How do I mask columns of my data source?

Post by stapes » Mon Sep 21, 2015 11:39 am

The user manual says I can mask certain items of data:
Note: To protect proprietary data like passwords you can mask specific columns of your data source.
I cannot find any further information on how this is done.

I would prefer, for instance, that my password entries did not appear on the reports.

How is this done?

Hi,

You can mask the columns data via Manage Data Sources dialog...

Just go to a TC with attached data connector. In TestSuite, right click selected TC and from the appeared menu select "Data Source...". Then in the appeared dialog click Manage Data Sources and here in Mask section check columns, which you would like to mask. Hope this helps?
