Learning SW test automation

Postby SanMan » Fri Sep 09, 2011 9:37 am

I have now been using Ranorex tool for some time, but I have not read any books about test automation or participated in any course. Which book you would recommend to have better understanding about creating good test cases, organizing tests, reporting....etc

Would e.g. this book be a good one:

"Implementing Automated Software Testing: How to Save Time and Lower Costs While Raising Quality"
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0321580516/softwarqaandtest

Any help and links to good web pages would be great!

Hi

I have read that book and it is excellent - it doesn't go into much technical details but covers all aspects of automation from start to finish. I would recommend it :)

In addition, the following books will help you so your automation code is maintainable etc. These books will give you the technical knowledge to build the ideas discussed in the automation book...
