Problems viewing XML reports in 3.1.1 and later : Bug Reports

In the last two updates of Ranorex (3.1.1 and 3.1.2) we have noticed issues viewing the XML reports that are generated. Viewing in Internet Explorer causes a memory overload error that crashes Internet Explorer after trying to scroll, open an image, or use the +/- buttons in the report. Viewing in Firefox 3.6.24 causes the screen shot images to appear half off the screen when clicking on them. This is making it impossible for us to read our reports properly.

Hello,

Please send us a problem causing sample report file via support mail, so we can have a look on that, trying to solve your problem.

We already did some changes within the last two version, but it seems that there is more work to do on that...

We are still seeing the issue in Ranorex 3.1.3. The issue is viewing an XML generated report file for us in Firefox. We have a large project file with a report that returns about 60 tests. Any images that are attached to the report show up at the bottom of the screen and have the bottom half cutoff making it impossible to see the image.

Hi,

As i mentioned before, please send us a problem causing sample report.
Without an example, we can't reproduce this and can't improve the reports.

Please, post your sample report and the xsl file here to the forum or send it to support@ranorex.com.

Hi,

thank you for providing your report file.
Are you still have problems with opening your report files in IE?
Basically only opening the report files with IE is supported by Ranorex as the Ranorex Report Viewer also is based on IE.
Have you tried to open the report file with Ranorex Report Viewer?

Additionally there will be a performance enhancement with our next release Ranorex 3.2.1 which will be available with the end of January.
