Ranorex V1.4 will be released in March 2008 with new features:

• Web testing with XPath support
  
  Have no idea about how to automate or even find controls on a web page? No problem! Ranorex's well-proven automation API now fully supports the automation of web pages. Integrated in this extended API is an easy and elegant method of web testing with XPath in V1.4, allowing users to copy just the XPath of a web element from RanorexSpy into their code to automate it.
  
  
• Calling methods or setting/getting custom properties of controls in the tested application
  
  Problems with automating 3rd party controls? The new version of Ranorex allows you to extend your .NET application with properties and methods and call them from your test code.
  
  
• Logging support
  
  Simple but efficient logging to console, text and XML files for generating automation reports. Use Ranorex logging support for faster test result presentation based on customable XSL stylesheets.
  
  
• Image recognition
  
  Search an image in a control or form, compare it with your expected results. The powerful functions will help you to automate and verify owner draw controls with images.
