Recorder Question

Postby spotnisR » Tue Oct 11, 2011 4:54 pm

Question 1: When I am recording a test case which can be run on the screen, RANOREX identifies various widgets on the screen which are used when the recording is played back.
I have seen that the widgets are not being identified when I am clicking on a few widges.

Question 2: Also, how can I get values like text or numbers from various widgets on the screen which can then be used for validation?

Can some one please help me with this. Contact Info: Shripad Potnis Tel: # 609 279 3994

Sorry but we have no phone support. The only support we offer is our highly frequented forum and you can send us mails to support@ranorex.com. In a few cases we do online meetings, but at the beginning we start with forum or mail. Thank you for your understanding.

As told by Tobias above, we need more information from you to help you with your issues.

Peter

Hi,
I am new to Ranorex. Please let me know which type of testing can be done with the help of Ranorex? (i.e. white box testing or black box testing).
Please reply soon.

You should really start a new topic...

What is your experience in the automated testing world?
If this or any response has helped you, please reply to the thread stating that it worked so other people with a similar issue will know how you fixed your issue!

Actually Ranorex is a Black Box Testing tool, because it interacts with the GUI of your AUT and not with the back-end. But in a few technologies, like WinForms, it is also possible to use White Box Testing.
