To change the duration time of an action item, open the properties view using the context menu.
The duration time always represents the recorded time between each action. Simple change the property value 'Duration' to define a new duration time for the currently selected item(s). The mouse move time of each action item can also be changed. In comparison to the duration time, the time of mouse move is predefined by the Ranorex Recorder. Click the Recorder's 'Configuration' button to change the default mouse move time per action.
The replaying of recorded action items sometimes fails due to incompletely loaded or currently not visible dialogs or applications, especially when testing on different machines.
To configure search timeouts for an application under test, open the properties of the specific application within the repository of the current recording. Simply use the context menu item 'Set SearchTímeout...' as a shortcut.
Change the value within the property grid view to increase timeout for the specified repository object.
Note: In most cases, it is not the search for a button or a text field that causes a replay to fail. Please be sure to read the detailed error description, for example:
"Replay failed at item position #1. Application or dialog 'FormCalculator' was not found within the specified timeout of 3000ms."
This message explains that the object item with the name 'FormCalculator' was not found within the related object repository, so you have to change the search timeout for the application instead of changing the timeout value of the underlying button object.
