6.0.1/6.1.0: Current license key is already in use

Post by BCTest » Wed Sep 14, 2016 2:08 pm

Hello,

we noticed a different behaviour in Ranorex 6 never seen in Ranorex 5 before.
We are using a Premium Suite with a node-locked license via Remote-Desktop (Win 10 Pro 1607). In Ranorex 6.0.1 and 6.1.0 we almost each time get a license-error if we want to reopen Ranorex after closing.

Irrespective of the mode how we start Ranorex Studio (directly or via Remote-Desktop) almost each time the license error appears after closing and restarting the Studio on the Remote-Desktop. Even if we step back directly on the machine the license still is in use. Just to clarify: it is possible to start Ranorex Studio via Remote-Desktop without license error but it is not possible to restart the Studio in the same session again after closing it.

What can we do to avoid the license error on a Remote-Desktop? Now we have to restart the computer to free the license. We want the same behaviour as in version 5 where it was possible to work via Remote-Desktop or directly.

Regards,
Thomas

Hi BCTest,

In order to analyze your issue in more detail, I would suggest to write an email to [email protected] with a detailed description of your problem.
We can discuss your issue during a remote session if it is necessary.

I'm looking forward to your email.

Sincerely,
Matthias

Hello,

sent an email yesterday ([CAS-19194-R5J9P8]). Remote session would be fine.

Regards,
Thomas
