Hi,
I have launched an android emulator thru Android Virtual Device on my computer. On it the ranorex services is running, but Ranorex devices is not able to find it.
My configuration is:
Android emulator:
adb devices from \Ranorex 6.0\Bin\RxEnv\Android\tools>adb.exe devices returns:
emulator-5554 device
it seems correct
The network configuration with adb shell then ifconfig returns:
eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 52:54:00:12:34:56
inet addr:10.0.2.15 Bcast:10.0.2.255 Mask:255.255.255.0
In the device, Ranorex service is running on the 10.0.2.15 Ip address
In ranorex studio V6.0.1, it does not found my emulator.
Should I start the emulator with some specific settings?
if someone as a clue, it will be helpfull.
I did it thru Appium and Selenium but not Ranorex.

Re: "Android Virtual Device" emulator not recognized by Ranorex
Hi palbaret,
Usually, you don't need to add or edit any settings in order to add an Android Virtual Device to Ranorex.
May I ask you if you have choosen "Emulator" in the add new Android device screen?
Additionally, Ranorex 6.0.1 is already outdated and I'd highly recommend updating Ranorex to the latest 6.0 or
6.1 version.
