Best match image function

Post by BeardMJ » Tue May 15, 2018 1:55 pm

Afternoon All

I was having trouble with some image recognition and edited the advanced setting "BEST MATCH" = FALSE.

What exactly does this do?

My test now picks up the first repeated object rather than analyzing all of them and I have no timeouts (basically its quicker).

If "Best Match" is set to true, Ranorex will not stop at the first possible match for the selected Similarity, but continue to search the whole image/element for the best match, i.e. the match with the highest similarity. "True" should return better results if there are multiple locations reaching the selected similarity; "False" will be quicker as it stops at the first match.
