Hi,
My device is already having an App in built in it.
When I am trying to install the upgraded version of App on the device I am seeing the below error message:
Installing the app has failed. It seems the app is already installed on the device with a different certificate in use. Ranorex instrumented apps need the Android Debug certificate to work correctly. Please uninstall the existing app from the device and retry the deployment process afterwards.
I am able to install the App using the below command from command prompt:
ADB install -r <Path of the build>
The problem here is Ranorex tool is not able to replace the existing file on the device and certificate issue error message is thrown.
I am using the Ranorex Licenced 4.1.0 version.
Please suggest a solution for the same.
It is blocking our automation.
Thanks
Sanjay Nimje

Re: Build installation issue
In order to install a newer version of your application on a device, the older version must be uninstalled.
If you have any problems deleting your application from the device, please have a look at this Blog
Kind regards,
