Hi,
I've tried getting Ranorex to recognize my device, but so far with no success.
I've placed the PC on the same wifi network as the SUT.
I've also run the application in simulator on mac - assuming the IP address of this mac (on same wifi network) should work.
I've also built the app to a physical iPad device (3rd gen) and tried to identify it via IP address.
Despite all these efforts I can't get Ranorex to identify any of these devices on the network.
I can successfully Ping the PC from the iPad and vice versa.
Any suggestions or ideas?
Thanks,
-Amos
Can't add device for iOS testing
Re: Can't add device for iOS testing
I am able to connect to simulator when running the RxBrowser project in the simulator.
www.ranorex.com/download/mobile/iOS/RxBrowser_401.zip
This leads me to believe that the automation component wasn't correctly set up in my test applications.

Hi. Yes, I had made the application active and visible and I followed the steps in the instructions here: http://www.ranorex.com/support/user-gui ... sting.html
Is there a version of MiniKeePass app that is already instrumented for comparison purposes?
Thanks,
-Amos

Re: Can't add device for iOS testing
Hello,
It could be that you haven't instrumented your app correctly.
Could you please post your debug output from XCode?
Currently, we don't have any instrumented app but you could use MiniKeePass and instrument it as shown in our videos.

Hi,
Try with rxBrowser it works well [http://www.ranorex.com/support/user-gui ... html#c4815]. It's instrumented with version 4.0.1 but works with Ranorex4.0.2 too.
It works with W7x64 virtualized under VMWareFusion 5 perfectly over an IPad1, IPad2 and IPhone4S.
Mateo.
