Can't interact with Flash target in Win VM
Can't interact with Flash target in Win VM
I'm trying out Ranorex in a 32bit Win 7 Enterprise VM hosted by VMware Fusion on OS X 10.9. I can get the target instrumented using the preloader and Spy sees the UI elements in the app, but when I try and run Record, I can only click on the outer container. I also can't seem to click on any of the buttons on the Ranorex Recorder controller, I have to use SHIFT-ESC to exit each time. Does Ranorex not work inside of a virtual machine?
Re: Can't interact with Flash target in Win VM
Ranorex works great in a virtual machine. I have it in stalled in 10 VMs, 4 of which are VMWare and 6 VirtualBox, and they all work wonderfully.
What version of Ranorex are you using?
It sounds like your Ranorex installation might be corrupted. Have tried doing a clean re-install of Ranorex? (Uninstall Ranorex, Reboot, then install Ranorex.)
Also, make sure you have installed at least .NET 3.5 SDK.

Shortcuts usually aren't...

Hi,
it's seems like the target app isn't instrumented when you run the test.
If the spy works than it means Ranorex is ABLE to interact with your application.
please remember that PreLoader is an Add On/Plug in, perhaps when the scripts run it the browser doesn't load with enough privileges to run the add on
