Change Request: "As a new Vaiable" as 1st item to select

Post by Elizabeth.Mertl » Wed Jun 13, 2012 8:05 am

[img]In the Recording View, when a value is converted saved as a new variable, it will be much mor user friendly if the option "As new Variable" is the first item which can be selected. It becomes increasingly difficult with an increase in the number of Variables in the Recording. (see screenshot)

It is the same in the path editor in the repository, when there are number of variables in the repository, to make a new one, one has to scroll down and select the last item. [/img]

Hi,

basically it would be a good idea to split your recording module into several smaller and reusable pieces to keep your project neat and tidy.
By doing so, you also have the benefit to not have as much variables within your modules.

For further details please have a look at follwoing chapter of ur user guide:

I have to agree with Elizibeth here.

The point is that the "As a new Variable" option should be first in the list. It just makes is more convenient for the user in many situations.
Shortcuts usually aren't...
