Delete old projects/solutions?

Post by Peadar_H » Thu Jul 16, 2015 8:49 pm

Hi, I have a lot of old projects on the Home page I'd like to permanently delete (not just from the Home page however, completely removed from the local machine). I searched the forums/User Guide but couldn't find anything really related. Thanks for any assistance. -PH

Hi Peadar,

I guess you mean the projects listed on your 'Start Page' - 'Recent Projects'?

If you delete them from your local machine, they will not be shown on the 'Start Page' any more.

I hope this solves your issue.

Hi Pedar,

On the Ranorex Studio go to: File --> Recent Projects | Recent File --> Clear Recent List. This should solve your problem.

Cheers

Thank you jma and CookieMonster - indeed I'd like to get rid of them from both the machine and the Ranorex Studio start page list.

jma - is it enough to simply delete the root folder for each project on my local drive? I'm a bit hesitant to screw anything else up by doing that but if that's the accepted practice I'll gladly do it.

I'll then use CookieMonster's solution to clean up the landing page. Thank you both again.

Yes, if you delete each solution's root folder, it will be gone from your system. You will then have to clean the entry from the recent list in Ranorex.

The root folder is the folder that CONTAINS the *.rxsln file.
