We are getting the following error when we try to use the Instrumentation Wizard to instrument and deploy our Android app.
error: Error retrieving parent for item: No resource found that matches the given name
It seems to be the same issue found here:

Looks like we have to instrument our Android app by code. We have to link the Ranorex.jar file for the Android project according to this page:
http://www.ranorex.com/support/user-gui ... -code.html
Do we have to update the Ranorex.jar file in the Android project every time there is a new Ranorex release?

We highly recommend using the latest service app and RxAutomation library., not every Ranorex release contains a new service app, though.Do we have to update the Ranorex.jar file in the Android project every time there is a new Ranorex release?
Further information can be found here: Versioning
Sincerely,
Robert
Re: Do you need to update Ranorex.jar for Android automation
Hi Robert,
The Ranorex.jar file is not available from the mobile download page. We had to get it from the Ranorex install directory. That's why I asked if we need to continually update this file.
Is there a maven repository for this file so our builder can automatically pull the latest version?
Thanks.

Hello tvu,
Unfortunately, there is no way to automatically retrieve this file from a repository, but you should definitely about the Ranorex.jar file for every Ranorex release.
Thank you for your understanding.
Sincerely,
Robert
