I don't remember for something like this to have happened before - in the case of two buttons in my AUT (a flex web client) the positions of two buttons are not correctly identified and in one of the cases (a close button) the offset causes problems (wrong button is being clicked)
is this a known issue? does anybody know any details - when? how? why?
I have already a workaround to this particular case (as I click the button from a recording, I just click it in the center-right position instead of center)
All the best,
D.

Hello,
Which Ranorex version do you use?
Could you please post or send us ([email protected]) a 'Ranorex Snapshot' of your application in order to analyze this issue? Please take a look at Creating Ranorex Snapshot Files in our User Guide.
Thank you in advance.
Regards,
Markus (T)

Re: elements' positions not precisely identified
Hi,
I'll have to send the snapshot via e-mail (as >1MB).
The form containing the two buttons is:
/dom[@domain='wins5:8080']//div[#'flashContainer']/flexobject/form[@title='Media viewer']
Ranorex version - I just updated to 4.0.4 (was using a 4.0.2)
All the best,
D.

Re: elements' positions not precisely identified
Hello,
Thank you for your snapshot.
It seems that these buttons are overlapping.
Could you please verify if the positioning of these buttons in your application is correct?
Thank you in advance.

Re: elements' positions not precisely identified
Hi Markus,
actually as I previously mentioned, I updated my Ranorex installation to 4.0.4 and I can't reproduce the problem since. I'm not sure what did the trick - the new version or the reinstrumentation of the web browser (I do this by default on any update). As it could not have been the code - dev ensured me no change was performed in that area since more than 6 months and the overlapping you mention is only few pixels while the image I posted shows much more.
I'll add more info if it reemerges.
Thank you!
