Re: Error on Log saving
Hi,
Could it be that you used the *.msi file for the installation?
Can you try to reinstall the License Server with the RanorexLicenseServer 5.0.0.exe file?
Thanks,
Markus

Re: Error on Log saving
Yes, of course:
Creating an instance of the COM component with CLSID {C0B4E2F3-BA21-4773-8DBA-335EC946EB8B} from the IClassFactory failed due to the following error: 80040111.
And again, i use Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard Core and Ranorex Server 5.0.0

Re: Error on Log saving
Hi,
Thanks for translating it .
You are getting the error message because the SaveFile dialog cannot be shown because of the Core version of Windows Server.
You need to configure the machine in a way that it is possible to show the standard Windows dialogs as the SaveFile and OpenFile Dialog.
Regards,
Markus

Hi,
Google shows many discussions about problem like this. For example, it could be a problem of insufficient permissions. Try to run the license app as Administrator (see this post. Another thing you might try is to run the Rx license app in the XP compatibility mode (see this post). Yet another reason could be that there is something broken in your system. A dll is missing or not registered. Unfortunately, this one could be hard to find. Just try to reinstall the license app.

Re: Error on Log saving
Hi KapacRus,
Please note that Windows Server 2012 Core is not listed on the section "Supported Operating Systems" on our web site. That means that it is not supported by Ranorex.
Windows Server 2012 Core is not designed to run third-party gui tools and that's the reason why it is not supported by Ranorex.
As odklizec already mentioned there could be several reasons for that issue. Maybe one of the links odklizec provided can help solving the issue.
I hope you understand that point of view.
Regards,
Bernhard

Re: Error on Log saving
Hi Bernhard,
It's not true. Third-party gui programm work normally on core version, especially it concerns applications such as ranorex server whit one windows and 3 buttons.Windows Server 2012 Core is not designed to run third-party gui tools
Of course i understand, but this is very unpleasant surprise that you hid behind a section "Supported Operating Systems" in this issues.I hope you understand that point of view.

Re: Error on Log saving
They did not "hide behind' anything.
Server CORE is NOT supported, that is stated very clearly on the system requirements page. You should have read that before you tried to use it.
Server CORE DOES NOT support 3rd party tools, which means they may or may not work. It doesn't mean that they definitely won't work, but that you will get no support from Microsoft or the tool maker (in this case Ranorex) if you try to use it.
If you can't get the system to work with CORE, then you will need to upgrade to Server Standard before you will get support for Ranorex.
