Fatal error while loading
Fatal error while loading
Im trying to record user actions in the "CANoe" application of Vector Informatik GmbH. Problem is, as soon as i click any object Ranorex gives me a fatal error message (see attached screenshot). Is there anyone which experienced the same? or maybe is it a common problem that doesnt depend on the execution of CANoe?

Re: Fatal error while loading
Hi,
It does not look to be a Ranorex error message but rather an error generated by the AUT (see the "vector.ini" mentioned in message)? Could you please answer below questions?
- Ranorex version?
- Windows version?
- Are you running Ranorex as Administrator (if not try it)?
- Is there available a demo version of CANoe app so Ranorex support could try to reproduce the problem?
- Exact steps to reproduce the problem?

Re: Fatal error while loading
Hi,
out of my perspective of view it is a ranorex error message because the window that shows the message has the ranorex studio symbol in the windows task bar. I'm not able to find the mention file.
Ranorex Versions i tried: 7.2.1 and 8.0.0
Windows 7 64 bit SP1
Yes, Ranorex is executed as administrator
A demo version of CANoe is available you can find it here: https://vector.com/vi_downloadcenter_en ... r_submit=1#
Download CANoe/CANalyzer 10.0
When finished installing CANoe
Start a Ranorex-Recorder select the CANoe-App and as soon as you want to click anything in the CANoe-GUI the error occurrs.
Same result when using "Instant Recording" where CANoe is already running.

Hi,
The original topic is nearly two years old. Could you please answer below questions?
Ranorex version? Most recent is 9.2. If you are using anything older, please update Ranorex.
Windows version?
The AUT is desktop, web or mobile app?
Used UI technology (WPF, MFC, Java, etc...)?
Please post exact error message you are receiving (plus steps to reproduce).
Thanks.
