Finding Windows Theme

Hiya

Does anyone know how to determine the windows theme, that is set in the control panel?
Our AUT color scheme changes based on the windows theme, which causes image recognition to change

Id like to :
- read current theme setting
- (if possible) change the theme to Windows XP default
