Recently, since 9.x, I have to track a UI element with xSpy before the test will run without timing out on the initial step. There have not been any significant structural changes to the test suite since pre-9.x
Any suggestions on where to look?
Sorry, I can't provide any snippets or similar.
Have to track with xSpy before test runs
Re: Have to track with xSpy before test runs
Hi,
I'm afraid, that without seeing, at very least, Ranorex snapshot of the app you are working with and an example of typically failing xpath, there is not much anyone here can do or suggest. The best you can probably do, is to contact directly Ranorex support (via support form) and request a remote session with them? Without seeing the problem, AUT and system configuration, there is really nothing anyone here can do.
Just three questions...
Are you using latest 9.2?
Have you tried your test on another computer (VM)?
And have you tried to add AUT to the Ranorex white list?

Re: Have to track with xSpy before test runs
Thanks for the prompt response. I've opened a support ticket.
I can't provide any snapshots or similar due to security concerns.
Thanks
