How do I get rid of unwanted variables?

Post by stapes » Thu Sep 17, 2015 4:34 pm

I have created a number of variables (created in the recording page) in my Ranorex Project that I ended up not using. How can I remove them? I know they are still there, because if I try to use the same variable name again, it won't let me.

Hi,

You can delete unused variables via edit variables dialog. Please check this post for more details...

That does not work for me. I can look at variables from each .rxrec module, but these are variables I created earlier, and no longer linked to a module. If I hit the Copy Variables From Repository drop down on the Edit Variables dialog, I can see them there.

Open the repository variables dialog from the repository.
