Hello guys
The system I test will have the text updated to Roboto Mon. But they want to rename it so its specific to the company i.e. NATS Roboto Mon.
Will Ranorex still be able to capture it even though the font name is not a generic one? How does Ranorex identify the text?
Thanks in advance.
How does Ranoex identify text and font types
Re: How does Ranoex identify text and font types
Hi BeardMJ,
You should be fine to update the text as far as Ranorex is concerned. Ranorex Studio uses Object-based recognition that is able to use the programmatically assigned labels to identify text. This means that it does not matter which font you use. Instead, it's the content of the element itself that Ranorex reads.
If you are using the image-based recognition instead, you will need to update your screenshots to reflect the new font, or adjust the tolerance of the comparison. I hope this information helps!
