How does RUNTIME License key re-run the recorded file?

Post by GraceLee » Tue Jan 18, 2011 7:41 am

Hi Sir,

Could please assist me?
I have bought 2 licenses keys, i.e: Developer Premium & RUNTIME, installed 2 different machines respectively.
However, how does the machine for RUNTIME user re-run the file? Every times when I was trying open the recording files (recording1.rxrec), system will prompt me warning msg "A valid Developer Premium license is required for running this Ranorex Application"

Is it the recording file should save in exe format? if yes, how does it work? I failed to find it at the drop down list from our saving.

Thanks

Regards
Grace

Hi,

to „generate“ an executable you have to build your solution.
Doing so will generate such an exe-file to you projects binary folder either in debug or in release folder (as chosen by setting the configuration).
This binary can be executed on both either your premium licensed machine or your runtime licensed machine.

Kind regards,
Tobias
