Hello,
in Ranorex Studio 8.1.2 i have set up the Selenium Web Driver endpoint. But when i want to run some tests using it, the chrome browser which is started is stripped from all extensions except Chrome Automation Extension.
So it's missing also Ranorex extension and without it is not able to locate elements. Even if i don't close the instance of chrome and install it, later on when the browser is opened again it's gone. So how can i add Ranorex extension there?
Using
- selenium standalone server 3.14.0
- chromedriver 2.41
Thank you
Tomas

Re: How to add Ranorex Extension to Chrome run via Selenium/ChromeDriver
Hello Thomas,
Thank you for your post.
Generally, the Ranorex Automation extension is not needed when running a test via a Selenium Endpoint.
You only have to start your Selenium Standalone Server which should be placed in the same directory as your Chromedriver, add a Webdriver Endpoint in Ranorex Studio and execute your existing Test on this endpoint.
More details about our Selenium Integration can be found here.
If you have already set up your endpoint correctly and still your test fails, please provide us with some more details.
Especially a Compressed Report of your failed test run would be helpful in order to analyze your issue.
Thank you in advance.
regards,
Stephan
