How to close web application through iteration.

Post by haye7889 » Thu Sep 07, 2017 3:01 pm

Hi, I'm trying to figure out how to close the web application I have through iterations.
First it will open IE, log in as a user, then close the IE browser.
Then it will repeat itself, but with Chrome.
However, I cannot figure out how to get it to close the application. I changed the path's class from ClientCaption to a variable so I can use data binding like I did for my start application, but whenever I run the test, its looking for ClientCaption instead of the variable I applied to it. The repository item is ClientCaption because it won't let me change it to my variable name.

Is there a way to iterate through opening a web application and then closing it in different browsers?
Here's my setup for it:
3 modules
Setup
- Start Application (with datasource bounded to IE and Chrome)

Parent
- Log in as user

Teardown
- Stop Application (with datasource bounded to IE and Chrome)

Thank you

Hi haye7889,

I would suggest creating a "Close Application" - action on the DOM element of your website.
This action should close the browser regardless of whether the website is opened with IE or Chrome.

I hope, this helps.
