How to correct Repository Issues

Post by Vberry7 » Wed Jan 18, 2017 11:59 pm

I am new to Ranorex and I started to rename files and once I realized that I should not be doing that. I am getting build error and rec'd 305 errors. Below is an example of some of the errors. I was wondering what I could change in the folder without having to redo the scripts. I have attached a document containing examples of the errors.

First, you should be using a software version control system (VCS) like git or Subversion. If you were, then this would be easily solved by rolling back the branch to the last working version.

Second, if you aren't using a VCS, then you will have to manually roll back every change you made until it starts working, or you will have to start over. Since we have no more information about your solution than what you have given, that is the best answer I can give.

Changing file names does not usually cause issues unless you change them outside of Ranorex Studio. Ranorex Studio keeps file names consistent.
