How to create a new website"-item in repository?

Post by jw_neumann » Fri Jan 20, 2017 4:59 pm

I'm new in Ranorex and would like to create a new "Website-Item in Repository.
So i. e. I work with ASP.NET and have a customer/index-View, a customer/edit-View and a customer/create-View.
For each of theses Views I'd like to create a new Repository-Item, where I can assign all buttons, comboboxes and so on.
But at the moment it only works with copy and paste :(

Do you know, how to create these items automatically and how to assign all related elements (buttons, textboxes,...) automatically to these website-items.
After that, it should look like the attached picture.

I hope you can understand my problem, thank you for helping!

I'm not quite sure what you mean that adding new items to repository only works for you with copy and paste? Typically, new items are automatically added to repository by Recording or by Track button and they should be added to appropriate root folder (based of their xpaths). Could you please describe in more details what exactly you want to achieve?
