How to run HTML using Ranorex IDE

Post by pradeepctm » Thu Dec 14, 2017 6:06 am

Dear Team,
I am using Ranorex for one of my Desktop application project.
I use ranorex spy to find xpaths and develop the c# script in VS.
I develop HTML files according to manual test cases and run them using third party tool called fit-gui.

now if i dont want to use third party tool instead i want to run HTML file from ranorex IDE itself.
Please let me know if Ranorex support this feature and how.

Thanks,

Hi,

I'm afraid, Ranorex does not support Fit-like tests, based on the HTML files.

If you would like to test HTML pages/web apps, you will have to re-write your Fit tests to Ranorex compatible scenarios (either using Recording, manually added actions or C#/VB .Net code). For more details about Ranorex we-based testing, read Ranorex user guide here:
