How to start headless?

Post by boris0dev » Fri Nov 30, 2018 3:51 pm

I've built a web test suite which runs fine in Chrome (directly driven by Ranorex = WebDriver not used)

So I wanted to execute the test suite in the headless mode.

Therefore I set as arguments when opening the browser "--headless --disable-gpu"
The attachment open-chrome.png is no longer available
When executing the test it seems to run, meaning the "open browser" command is executed without any errors but in the next action I'm looking for an element on that page (an input field) and filling in a string.
Without headless no problem, but with headless I get an error that the element wan't found:
open-chrome.png
open-chrome.png (39.25 KiB) Viewed 55 times
How can I solve this?

Thanks for any help / advice

Hi,

I’m afraid, testing in headless mode is only supported via webdriver automation. Ranorex as such requires realized desktop.
