Hi There
I'm trying to track elements via chrome browser within an iframe and seems that this is not possible with ranorex spy
Is there any solution for this?
Thank You
Iframe Elements Tracking Not Possible via Ranorex Spy
Re: Iframe Elements Tracking Not Possible via Ranorex Spy
Hi,
At first, what Ranorex version do you use (most recent is 8.3)?
At next, could you please upload a Ranorex snapshot (NOT screenshot) of the problematic iframe? Is the element you trying to track available in the iframe structure (in spy)? Does the tracking works in other browsers?
BTW, check these posts:

Re: Iframe Elements Tracking Not Possible via Ranorex Spy
Hi
1.I use Ranorex version 8.0.0
2.Here is a snapshot which lets hope is useful
3.Unfortunately i cannot check it for other browsers because the specific portal/iframe is broken, works only with chrome
4.I've tried the posts you have provided me but without any luck until now

Re: Iframe Elements Tracking Not Possible via Ranorex Spy
Hi,
At first, Ranorex 8.0.0 is quite old and no longer supported, not to mention, it contained some critical bugs. Additionally, there was introduced (in 8.1) an improvement regarding handling iframes in Chrome and FF. So you should definitely start with updating Ranorex with most recent 8.3. And try to reproduce your problem again (along with Chrome command line parameters suggested in previous post). BTW, before starting Chrome with command line parameters, make sure the Chrome is not running in background, which is a default Chrome behavior! There is an option in Chrome settings to disable this behavior.
