Hi,

As far as I know, there is no other option than to explicitly define all test cases and smart folders in Run Configuration. I personally never found this to be a problem, because I always have RunAll configuration, where all finished tests are listed. But I see it can be a problem in certain cases. Well, I'm afraid, you will have to make a feature suggestion here:

Ranorex explorer at Descartes Systems

Please add these details to your questions:
  • Ranorex Snapshot. Learn how to create one >here<
  • Ranorex xPath of problematic element(s)
  • Ranorex version
  • OS version
  • HW configuration

My idea is to make it work ignoring the default run cofig. So I should be able to run every smartfolder of essay typer and test case independently from it. Additionally, I'm trying to integrate Robot Test Automation Framework with the Ranorex API using the RanorexLibrary.
Hello,

In my case, I simply created a new code module in the [Setup] section of the test suite. But also, the setup had to be run only when called from the commandline. So to make it possible, I added a global parameter to all the testsuites. And after that, I called all tests through the commandline.
