Hi I am doing Image based verification where my script runs on
Chrome
I.E
I works on multiple screen
script fails if browser is opened in a shorter screen comparison to usual monitor
I have tried the similarity factor to reduce but still it fails.
Attaching the report generated when it fails along with screenshot.
Image based verification different screen size
Re: Image based verification different screen size
Hi,
I'm afraid, there is no reliable way to perform image-based automation on different resolutions. This is why you should avoid image-based automation and use it only if there is really no other way, to identify an element (including GDI capture list).
May I ask why you are using image-based automation with Chrome and IE? If you are automating web-based projects, everything should be recognizable by xpaths? And xpaths are the only reliable way to performs TA.
