Image Validation percentage

Post by Nieppu » Wed Feb 26, 2020 2:46 pm

Hello,

I have app with main view with 1024×768 resolution, I am using validate.containg() function to validate one specific object from it.
I am using repository images which are cropped.

When changing the color of the object, result of the validation is more then 99 %.
When object is completely missing, the result of the validation is ~85 %.
When object size is incresed by 20 % -100 %, the result of the validation is ~99.5 %.
When rotating the object on the main view, the result of validation is 99.9 %.

I have tried every prosessing methods (edgeslopes, edges etc) but there isnt much difference.

Any tips to configurate the validation process to be more accurate?

That is quite worrying, have you considered using validation, other than image validation?

Also, re the similarity percentages you are getting on those tests, have you looked at what those percentages are, if you run the same validation tests using "Compare" instead of "Contains"?

Hi Nieppu,

You should also post example screenshots for which you say that changing color only only makes a 1% difference. I suspect that the "object" could represent only a small part of the whole screenshot. Please post a before and after screenshot with your next reply.
