IOs app instrumentation

Post by misbah.aamer » Sat Nov 17, 2018 3:11 am

hello,
iam trying to test an app on iphone via ranorex and our developer provided the .ipa file for the installation. is there any way to instrument the app through the endpoint without the p12 and mobile provisional file since those are private keys?.
thank you.

Hi,

In my opinion, the only other way how to instrument iOS app (outside instrumentation wizard) is to instrument it via code:
https://www.ranorex.com/help/latest/web ... -code-ios/
In other words, If you don't have p12 certificate and mobile provisional file, you have to ask developers to instrument the IP for you. There is no other way.

Hello Pavel,

Where can I find the professionals to help me with the iOS app instrumentation? May I post it as a job in the Jobs section of the forum? I'm trying to create a new topic there, but there's an error all the time. Perhaps, it happens because of the attached files, maybe I should share them via Dropbox or something?

Thank you,
Terry Lewis

Hi,

I believe that new form members, with no or very few posts, have disabled uploads. You can use DropBox or similar service and post here a link. But in my opinion, if you are experiencing an issue with iOS app instrumentation (and you carefully followed the User Guide steps), your best bet is to contact directly Ranorex support guys vie Ranorex support form, available here:
