I just installed Ranorex 4.0.6 on Windows 8.1 with IE 11 and IE doesn't like the Ranorex add-in. I had a look at 4.1.x release notes and I'm not sure if it will support IE11 in Windows 8.1 either. The only comment in the release notes about Windows 8.1 is for version 4.1.0 "Added object recognition support for Windows 8.1 Preview apps". Don't want to waste time installing it (again) if it won't work.
If it's not yet supported, when do you think it will be available?
Thanks,
Aracknid

Re: Is IE11 desktop in Windows 8.1 supported?
Hello Aracknid,
In general IE 11 is fully supported by Ranorex, but in order to enable the Ranorex plugin it is necessary to disable the "Enable Enhanced Protected Mode" in the Advanced tab of the Internet Options. Regards,
Bernhard

Re: Is IE11 desktop in Windows 8.1 supported?
Thank-you, this solved my problem and I'm able to continue using 4.0.6.
Interesting that IE11 on Windows 7 doesn't have this option and it works by default, whereas IE11 in Windows 8.1 does have this one extra advanced security option.
