I can't seem to attach my debugger to a process while ranorex is playing back a test on it. is it possible to do this? i want to test for crashes and get call stacks in the debugger.

You can attach the process to the debugger using the "Attach to process" entry from the main menu.
You can find this entry in the "Debug" section in Ranorex Studio. Regards,
