Is there any way to let .exe file generate report

Post by yydpkm » Mon Jul 17, 2017 3:27 pm

Is there any way to let the .exe file generate report after running?

I am new to Ranorex. Right now I can only have report when running test through TestSuite Runner. Is there any way that I can get the report without go through TestSuite Runner?

Thanks!

Ranorex 5.2.2
OS Windows 7

Hi,

You can run your tests with command line arguments, as described in the Ranorex User Guide:
https://www.ranorex.com/help/latest/les ... orexStudio
Pavel Kudrys
Ranorex explorer at Descartes Systems

Please add these details to your questions:
  • Ranorex Snapshot. Learn how to create one >here<
  • Ranorex xPath of problematic element(s)
  • Ranorex version
  • OS version
  • HW configuration

I do this. Works great. I build the EXE with MSBuild then run it with commands to create a compressed report file (.rxzlog). I then pass that output through the ReportToPDF process, and attach both files to the email I send with the test results.
