Java AWT/Swing Warn message

Post by jesterx » Tue Sep 03, 2013 9:13 pm

I am currently evaluating Ranorex as a possible solution for our in house regression testing.

we are primarily a PHP shop. about 90 percent of our apps are browser based.

So far so good.. but I am concerned that I cannot get rid of the "Warn" message for :

Java AWT/Swing

I have followed the instructions located at :
.ranorex.com/support/user-guide-20/technology-instrumentation/testing-of-java-applications.html
and verified that the specified files are present in the locations specified.

yet I continue to get this warn message every time I try to play back one of my recording sessions.

Can someone please provide me with further information about this Warn Message and how to overcome it?

Hello,

Is it possible to get elements inside your application with Spy?
Do you see any other issues automating your application?
Which Ranorex version do you use?

Could you please post or send us ([email protected]) a 'Ranorex Snapshot' of your application in order to analyze this issue? Please take a look at Creating Ranorex Snapshot Files in our User Guide.
This would help us in order to analyze your issue.

Thank you in advance.

Regards,

Do you have Oracle installed on your system? It uses it's own java client.

Do a search for java.exe on your system, every instance must be instrumented. You will need to use the instrumentation wizard and manually select the path to each one.
Shortcuts usually aren't...
