Jenkins and Jira integration

Post by kavya13 » Wed Jul 01, 2020 6:25 am

Hello Team,

Kindly let me know,

Jenkins Integration :
1. How to run multiple solutions together?
2. How to map reports in case multiple projects are triggered via Jenkins on a single build?

JIRA :
1. How to map components in JIRA?
2. workflow of attaching a video to the bug.

I also gone through the user guide links for Jenkins and Jira integration.

Report generation :
1. How to render the automatically generated report in HTML?
2. How to store the results in a DB (or access the existing DB)?

Thanks in advance.

Hello kavya13,

Jenkins Integration :
1. How to run multiple solutions together?
You need to run a test sequence for stating multiple projects sequentially. You can see instructions here: Manage multiple test suites
2. How to map reports in case multiple projects are triggered via Jenkins on a single build?
Each project will create its own report. You need to collect them with your Jenkins report publishing plugin.

JIRA :
1. How to map components in JIRA?
I don't know what you mean :)
2. workflow of attaching a video to the bug.
I think Ranorex does not yet enable this.

I also gone through the user guide links for Jenkins and Jira integration.

Report generation :
1. How to render the automatically generated report in HTML?
Do you mean in Jenkins run? You can set the Ranorex plugin to create a html report: Change report directory, name, and file extension
2. How to store the results in a DB (or access the existing DB)?
For this you will need to build an implementation in code yourself.

You have posted quite many questions that are not related here. It is very likely, the thread will become messy with different people only answering to some of your questions and ignoring others ... Or no people answering at all. I think it would be much better, if you would create a thread for each question :)
