Hi All,
I am trying to automate a legacy application for our client with Ranorex 5.1.
I am not able to identify the image buttons on the panel.
Please refer attached screenshot.
• Operating system : Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise, Service Pack 1
• Ranorex version: 5.1.0.18625
I am not able to post snapshot file as ranorex machine is in firewall.
Please find attached screenshot.
Thanks
Aniruddha

Re: Legacy application elements are not recognized by Ranorex5.
Hi Aniruddha,
I'm afraid, there is not much we can do for you without more details about tested app (used GUI technology), Ranorex snapshot, etc... If you cannot provide more details, I would suggest to contact Ranorex support (at [email protected]) and ask them for a remote session, so they can see the problem online and suggest some solutions/workarounds.
Additionally, Ranorex 5.1 is way too old and no longer supported. I would suggest to download and install latest Ranorex 5.4.5 and check if the element recognition improves?
BTW, legacy apps often needs special care using GDI Capture List as described here:
