License Server

Post by skegels » Mon Feb 18, 2019 10:52 am

Dear,

Is the License Server 6.2.0 compatible with Ranorex 9?
I installed Ranorex 9 but I keep getting the error that there are no valid licenses available. (for version 8.3.2 there is no issue)

Regards,
Stephan.

Hi,

At first, are you sure your existing license is not out of the maintenance period?

At next, you should always update Ranorex license server with equivalent Ranorex version. All I can say is that 8.3.2 license server works fine with 9.0. So I think you will have to install, at least, 8.3.2 license server. But first check, if your existing license is still valid for 9.0? ;)

I just installed the 9.0.0 (and the 9.0 license server) - it does not work. My maintenance period is 2018/12, but the beta worked in 2019. Does that mean i am stuck with 8.3.2 ?

Hi,

If the maintenance period was to 12/2018, then yes, you are stuck with 8.3.2. You will have to renew your license if you want to continue enjoying Rx updates.
