Lost connection message when recording modules from mobile

Hi,
I am new to mobile testing with Ranorex and I am having problems with an information message that appears every time I record opening the website I am testing. I am testing a website on a mobile device not an app as that is whats required.
The site opens successfully and I can see the 2 steps that have opened it in the actions area of Ranorex but when I try to record another step this message appears.
The information message (see attached screenshot) states that I have Lost Connection. The connection to the app was interrupted.

In the devices portion of the screen I can see the status of my mobile device change from Ranorex web testing to No Apps running.

I am using Ranorex 5.4.6 and RXBrowser 1.8.5
The mobile device is a moto E, running android 5.0.2

If you are using USB, have you tried using WiFi instead? This is a common problem with Android, WiFi is much more stable due to USB connections having the added layer of ADB.
Shortcuts usually aren't...

I tried it on wifi and it works much better.
