Mass Testing Split Report

Post by Fsis » Wed Jun 26, 2019 7:44 am

Hi all,

I need to conduct a mass test with a couple thousand test cases. Naturally, the report would be huge and its performance would be rather bad. Additionally, functions inside the report such as "Collapse all" would not be available.

Someone had a similar problem but I couldn't quite find the answer:

Now, my question is, is there a way that I can start the test suite and it generates multiple reports with eg. 50 tests per report?

Thanks in advance

I'm afraid, there is no out-of-the-box solution of your problem. In my opinion, the best approach is to prepare multiple run configurations, where each one runs couple of test cases (e.g. 50). Then create a batch file where each line runs one run configuration (using /rc: parameter). Hope this helps?

Is there any mileage in splitting things up into multiple test suites? We've been using both run configurations and multiple test suites to spread things out here.
