Modify mouse behavior in Studio

Post by karltinsly » Fri Jan 11, 2019 5:40 pm

Is it possible to modify the mouse behavior when navigating in Studio? Ideally I'd like to just limit it to scrolling steps in a recording module, or scrolling through the test suite. The problem I'm having is that while scrolling through recording modules, I often inadvertently change a key code, button, or action spot column without noticing, breaking my test. If it's not possible to prevent the scroll wheel from being able to scroll through the dropdowns in those fields, I'd prefer to disable the scroll wheel altogether.

Any tips? Thanks!

Unfortunately, this is not a Ranorex Studio feature, but inherent to all Windows controls. Consequently, disabling scrolling on demand per control/tool is currently not possible. So you would need to disable scrolling altogether for your machine...
As a workaround, you can save the recording before scrolling, then you would see if you mistakenly changed something by the star "*" in the file tab header, signalling that the recording is dirty.
