Mouse Hover validation

Post by jagradang » Tue Nov 05, 2019 1:44 pm

Hi,

I'm trying to validate the mouse hover action. I have a site i'm writing tests for and when you hover over a button, its highlighted with a border. I want to validate that the border is being correctly applied when mouse over.

What is the best way to try and validate this?

Hi,

I’m afraid, it’s impossible to tell what’s the best approach to validate such element, without seeing, at very least, a Ranorex snapshot (NOT screenshot) of the highlighted (and maybe also not highlighted) element. Could you please provide such snapshot? You may need to use Instant tracking to be able to save the snapshot of highlighted state. Eventually, you may need to use Create Snapshot recording action. Simply add Create Snapshot action, right after Mouse move action and run either the recording or entire test suite. Thanks.
