Multiply Data Binding

Post by zator » Tue Jul 10, 2012 12:22 pm

Hello,

Recently i created module group with 2 recordings modules. To test a few iterations of my project i created a simple data table with some data rows. In both of my recording modules i use variable 'NoteTitle', which should have same value during tests. My question is if it is possible to bind one data column to both variables in separated recording modules, because i do not know how to do it.

Hi,

Yes you can do that.
You have to bind the two variables from the two recording files from your module group to a "Group Variable" and the group variable can be bound to the specific column of your data source table of the test case.
For detailed information please take a look at the following links:

Hi,

Sorry, but I still cannot manage to solve my problem. I only see that merging 2 recording modules give me ability to separate recording variables into constant variables and group variables which can be seen outside module group. I don’t know how to bind two different variables into one. I also can not find it in Your documentation.
Can you give me just a small example how to do it, please?

Paweł

EDIT: problem solved..... forgive me my stupidity

Hi,

Don't worry about it!
It is not easy to learn how to work with a new product ;).
